Henry’s Law

The Laws of Physics: Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a very simple medical procedure that follows a natural law of physics (which relates to gases, and in this case the gas is oxygen).

Henry’s LawFormulated by the British chemist, William Henry, in 1803. It states that: At a constant temperature, the amount of a given gas dissolved in a given type and volume of liquid is directly proportional to the partial pressure of that gas in equilibrium with that liquid. With respect to Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, it can be very simply put:

By simply adding more pressure (even the slightest amount!), there will be more oxygen transferred into your bloodstream, and the amount of dissolved oxygen will be greater with the greater amount of pressure applied.

This is why hyperbaric oxygen is such a powerful technology – it follows the Natural Laws of Physics! More Pressure means more oxygen gets inside the body.
